Crafting a sale

I have spent the better part of today working on my etsy store (www.BlackHorseEmbroidery.etsy.com) to add my embroidered items to my listings. I hope to make the store a success-so far I have had one sale, my favorite dressage quilt.

It was made from 3 colors of microsuede (black, brown and silver) with horse outlines and dressage terms. It took me several weeks to embroider the horse blocks then another week or so to put them together. I had the quilt on my etsy site for weeks with no interest. I also took it to a craft fair. While I got a lot of positive comments about it, no one was willing to come up with the asking price. I did get a commission from it-2 pillows made in the same way, using the same fabrics. I re-listed the quilt on etsy while I was making the pillows and what do you know! It sold the day before I was due to ship the pillows. Thus they both shipped the same day.

Now that I have one sale under my belt I am working to expand the shop and list more items. I hope to get more exposure and make this hobby a success.
